In my surfing, I ran across this collection of photos taken of Chateau Montmelian.
Grave Marker for Louis Benoist Larpenteur
A grave marker has been purchased and in the process of being placed at the grave of Louis Benoist Larpenteur. As soon as the ground thaws in Minnesota, it will be placed.
The inscription on the marker says, "Louis Benoist Larpenteur - father of the Larpenteurs in America."
It will be a highlight of the French-American Larpenteur reunion in 2011 in St. Paul.
Thank you, Michele Murnane, for making this possible. Also, thanks to all who contributed financially to see that the marker was purchased. Photos will be posted as soon as available.
