C'est avec beaucoup de tristesse, d'émotion que je vous informe du décès de maman.
La petite lueur qu'elle représentait pour moi en particulier, et nos enfants s'est éteinte ce dimanche 21.06.09 à 8 h 15.

Elle repose depuis mardi après midi au cimetière du petit village natal de René.

Ce lien très fort, qui s'est tissé depuis de nombreuses années, avec nos échanges par courriels, votre visite à Bordeaux notamment à laquelle elle a participé, a été apprécié tous.

It is with much sadness and emotion that I inform you of the death of mother (My notes: (Jeannie PUISSEGUR whose grandmother was Zoe Larpenteur the sister of Charles Eugene Larpenteur who was the son of Armand Bayard, the son of Louis Auguste, the son of Louis Benoist. She moved to France as a young woman.)

The little light that she represented for me in particular, and our children was extinguised Sunday June 21 at 8:15 am.

She has rested since Tuesday afternoon in a little cemetery in a small village of her birth called Rene.

There is a very strong bond which has been woven over the years between us with the exchange of emails and especially your visit to Bordeaux was notable especially since she was able to participate, and was appreciated by all.

Brad is the son of Kirby Larpenter, grandson of the late Alvin Larpenter and Bernice Larpenter, great-grandson of the late Gilbert and Helen Larpenter, and great-great-grandson of the late Charles Eugene and Fidelia Larpenter.

Grave Marker for Louis Benoist Larpenteur

A grave marker has been purchased and in the process of being placed at the grave of Louis Benoist Larpenteur. As soon as the ground thaws in Minnesota, it will be placed.

The inscription on the marker says, "Louis Benoist Larpenteur - father of the Larpenteurs in America."

It will be a highlight of the French-American Larpenteur reunion in 2011 in St. Paul.
